YMCA after School Care features an interactive learning model that gives kids the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities, use their critical thinking skills, and encourage their academic interests. Kids can learn about art, math, science, technology, and engineering, practice healthy eating and physical fitness, and establish and early love for reading with literacy activities. Several schools throughout southeast Houston offer this program.
For over 30 years, Champions has provided after-school programs in 20 schools in southeast Houston for students 5-12 years old. Champions offers many fun educational activities to encourage kids to continue learning, including art, dramatic play, and science.
KinderCare offers an after-school program at 11 centers in the southeast Houston area for children 5-12 years old. Kids can play fitness games to improve their endurance, strength, and balance, improve their communication and leadership skills in the Classroom Council and group games, and foster their creative skills with creative writing and performances.
At Kids ‘R’ Kids, children aged 5-12 years can learn about earth science and the environment, play trivia games and advanced educational games, and spark their creativity with arts and crafts projects.
